3 things to know about Callaway's new driver

Last year gave us the release of the Callaway Paradym driver, so say hello to the Paradym Ai Smoke! There’s a lot to unpack with this fantastic golf driver, but today we’re going to give you three solid reasons why this club is one to get really excited about.

1. Ai Smoke Looks

There’s no denying the silky and intriguing shape of the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke driver. When you first pick it up and look at the head, you can make out the streaks of silver that look like smoke. There’s clearly been a lot of fine-craftsmanship going into this design!

This golf driver features a flowing pattern of black and silver smoke running over the sole with the club’s name taking a central position; it all looks very smart. The word ‘Smoke’ appears in capitals and is the same metallic blue colour as the screw behind the face. You won’t get tired of pulling the headcover off to reveal the clubhead, it looks fantastic!

When you’re standing over the ball on the tee, you’ll appreciate the smooth, confidence-inspiring shape of the clubhead. Callaway has covered the head of this golf driver with a carbon fibre crown. Not unlike a Formula 1 car, this material gives it the impression that it’s covered in small squares that are easy on the eye to inspire speed and performance.

2. Ai Smoke Feel

It looks good, but does it feel good? Well the answer is yes, yes it does. This golf driver has a Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grip that will give you a superb hold over your club.

Callaway has refined the carbon chassis to better distribute weight. This even spread of weight allows you to make more fluid golf swings, and ultimately improve launch and add forgiveness.

Callaway pays a lot of attention to sound and feel when designing these clubs, the better the noise when you flush a driver strike, the better it feels. Thanks to the face tech, you’ll be hitting a sweet spot regardless of where on the face you make contact with the ball.

3. Ai Smoke Tech

It should go without saying that a golf driver is only as good as the tech it’s made of, and Callaway has made the Paradym Smoke Ai with the latest cutting-edge advancements.

As the name suggests, this club has been designed using artificial intelligence. The dynamic Ai Smart Face is the result of studying thousands of real golfers’ swings to tighten dispersion and help you make more accurate strikes.

Callaway has made their carbon chassis 15% lighter than previous models

The face features micro deflection zones that are activated when the face makes contact with the ball. This process helps launch on off-centre shots, and essentially gives you sweet spots right across the face. How handy is that?

As we’ve mentioned, Callaway has given the Paradym Ai Smoke a carbon fibre crown. The carbon chassis has been refined to promote weight distribution, and by adding an internal titanium support structure, the chassis is now 15% lighter. This lighter material allows for weight to be redistributed into the head to give you even better launch conditions.

We can’t get over how fun this driver is to swing, and it’s a joy to go over how each section has been specifically designed to contribute to your performance.

Ai Smoke: A family of four golf drivers

Every golfer has a unique ability, and every golfer has a unique swing. With this in mind, Callaway has created four separate Paradym Ai Smoke golf drivers all made with a specific kind of player in mind.

The standard Paradym Ai Smoke Max golf driver features an adjustable perimeter weighting to deliver you up to 19 yards of shot shape correction, allowing you to take into account your natural shot shape before you tee up the ball.

The Paradym Ai Smoke Max D golf driver has a built-in draw-bias which will help you hit straighter shots if you suffer from regularly slicing your tee shots to the right of the fairway.

If you have a naturally slow swing speed, you’ll benefit from playing with the Paradym Ai Smoke Max Fast golf driver. This club is lightweight and will help you build up more speed in your ball strikes to get more distance off the tee.
