Hi everyone,
Last week I talked about club fitting as well our habits when making purchases. It is certainly an interesting subject to talk about as it might highlight exactly why you do things personally. I think a lot of us try to convince ourselves that we are doing something for one reason when actually there's another behind it. My email was intended to do nothing more than discuss it as it's interesting but it does lead onto our game and the influences behind why we change equipment, or don't, as the case may be.
However, it also segways very nicely into an announcement that I need to make regarding my future. As you all know I will be leaving Chestfield at the end of the year after seven very enjoyable years and I can now let you know what I'll be doing next. In mid-November I will be opening an indoor swing and club-fitting studio at St Augustine's in Ramsgate. This will also include putting and short game analysis (let's face it this is probably the part of the game that I am most qualified in - don't ask someone who hits the ball superbly and never misses a green to teach you about short game - you need someone like me who's had tons of practice!).
Aside from the services that I'll be offering in the studio this also means I will have a shop and that means one other important thing. You have been told to use all your account money by the end of the year but this is now not necessary. Any moneys still not spent will now remain on account so you can use it in my new shop at St Augustine's. It also means that you can use this money for lessons with me at my new facility and those with lessons still owed can do them with me at St Augustine's from now on.
I will, of course, be letting everyone know more details in due course but if you would like to know anything please feel free to contact me.
Back at Chestfield we have lots of new items in the shop to keep you going. We have recently taken in winter cover-ups and base layers from Nike, including their thermal cover-up which is incredibly warm. To add to this, and at a different pricepoint, we also have Island Green clothing which is incredible value for money. Their range in the shop now includes waterproofs as well as half-zip cover-ups and the very popular lined sweaters that many of you ask for every winter.
The cold days are all but here so have a look now and get yourself ready.
