Good afternoon golfers,
Course News
We'll it would seem we are in for a bit of a wet winter. What is impressive is just how good the greens are remaining despite the amount of water they've had recently. Personally, I think if those that are playing (and let's face it, we don't all want to in these conditions anyway) think responsibly then there is nothing to say the course will be particularly damaged.
Keep to the sides of the greens unless you need to be near the flag and please think about walking down slopes! We don't want firstly any accidents and secondly big long smear marks down slopes near to greens. Find the flattest route you can and we'll have no issues going forward.
Shop News
However, it doesn't mean you won't feel cold and wet!! We have just had our first delivery of crested Glenmuir sweaters and half zips and we are about to receive an order of new Sunderland Vancouver waterproof suits that are amazing value at £150 for the quality of suit they are. They feature very stretchy fabric and leg lengths in the trousers. They even come with a three-year waterproof guarantee. We've already sold one 'off-plan' so if you are interested please visit the shop now.
We also now have a SALE on our stock of Nike Covert 2 fairways and hybrids which are both available at a THIRD OFF our normal prices. This is due to the new Vapor range coming in next year which we will be selling alongside PING's range of equipment.
Christmas Draw
The Christmas Draw is well underway now and will be drawn, as is traditional at Chestfield, after the Wall game on the 27th. We will have lots of bigger prizes this year with the top prize being one of the Sunderland Vancouver suits. Get your numbers now people!
